ARTISTIC STATEMENT
Alexander Nichols: The design process for FIDELIO involved a nearly year long exploration of ideas with Director Matthew Ozawa who was interested in revealing parallels between the libretto's major themes and the current, and ongoing, crisis of migrant internment and family separation.
